Using state-of-the-art microprocessor and single magnetic-head sensor technology, the Cashscan 1800 Counterfeit Detector verifies the authenticity of U.S. currency using the magnetic properties of the ink of all U.S. Dollars. This counterfeit detection system can detect even today's most sophisticated counterfeit money by detecting the absence and presence of magnetic ink. Genuine notes are identified by a green light while suspect notes are identified with a red light and audible tone.
